I am doing something different today – a random act of kindness for every year of my life. And today I am 34. Wow. I can’t wait to go out and do this today! Nevermind that it’s a gloomy day… although I am wishing the sun would shine so that I can go out and spend the day spreading kindness with my family.
I have prepared a list of things I can do, but I hope that as the day unfolds, opportunities to do something totally random, something that would really push me out of my box, would present itself. I’m scared, honestly, should those random opportunities come. And totally excited.
I’m kind and nice and all and I truly believe kindness should be given daily without even having to shout it out. I didn’t invent this tradition but today I want to be more aware of what I can do for others… what we can all do for others.
So I hope you will indulge me a birthday gift of your own. Can you do an act of kindness to celebrate the day/ week with me? I know we are all busy-bodies that need to do our business, but if you can share yourself with others, no matter how small that part of yourself may be, you will make me ~ and the heavens ~ smile.

P.S. My kids are amazing. I was making my list and I asked Zach and Sophia what nice things we could do for other people. Sophia said something incoherent so we’ll have to take that at face value, but Zach said stuff like:
- smile at strangers
- help old lady cross the road
- give kids candies and chocolates
- give (his) savings (P30) to the homeless man
What wonders. I’m doing things right after all.

Spreading some kindness, specially to strangers can be pretty hard at times but knowing people believe in it encourages me and I hope others would feel the same.

I’m not sure if I’ve done any good deed recently. I’m a mean person, hahaha! Even my husband would lovingly tell me that I’m a b*tch to him sometimes and I know I don’t deserve that RAOK gift. But if suggestions are acceptable, I think you should give one to Mommy Olga of Tottering Mama because she was so kind to me this week when I was so dejected and stressed because daughter was sick.
