small hours and little wonders

We were up and out really early today, something we haven’t done on a Sunday in a really long time. But 6AM, we tromped over to the beach to soak in some morning rays, take a breather of sea air and to dip the kids in water. Good for strengthening the lungs, say the old peeps, and the kids have been coughing on and off for weeks now despite medication. This morning was fun! And we were home before 8AM, just in time for breakfast. We should do this a lot more often.

Going through last week’s Colorful Weekend submissions… you guys are awesome. I love the color waves. Here are a few of my favorites:

• Projects by Chris and Mars. I’m really big on crafts so this is something I can do with my kids.
• The colorful sailboat on the sea of blue on one of Kero’s photos was a welcome pop. I played I-Spy-With-My-Little-Eye with Sophia for this one!
• And my favorite from this batch was this cake, made by Jheng herself. Wow, great work! And she called it amateur.
